What is a Work Permit Application?
A Work Permit is an official written authorization issued by Canada that allows a foreign national to engage in employment in Canada. Holders of Work Permits generally classified as Temporary Foriegn Workers but there other classes of migrants such as spouses or refugee claimants that may be issued a Work Permit.
Canada has two different types of Work Permits with variations based on occupation and the reason for immigrants entering the country. Typically every immigration program processing economic class migrants will be issued one of these types of Work Permits, some will vary in durations and or carry specific conditions. Depending on your qualifications and occupation your job may fall under two different categories of work permits.
