For many individuals across the globe, immigrating to Canada is part of their dreams for a successful future. To acquire opportunities like a higher income, improved standards of living, and work experience, they long to move to Canada and build their careers here. In order to offer these individuals a shot at the life they’ve been dreaming of, the Canadian Government provides several immigration schemes. One of these is the Express Entry system, which supports quick immigration to Canada.

If you’re considering applying through the Express Entry system to move to Canada as soon as possible, you’ll first need to understand what this system means, and the conditions or processes that it entails. To educate you about the Express Entry immigration program, Springwind Immigration Consulting Service Inc. has explained it below, along with a few challenges and benefits that will help you decide whether it’s a viable option for you.

What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an online system that is used to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. The Canadian immigration authorities go through these applications filed under this program and choose skilled workers based on their expertise and ability to contribute to Canada’s economy. Those who score the highest ranks as per the immigration authority’s criteria receive top preference. As a result, individuals applying through this program must be skilled, prepared to settle in Canada permanently, and take part in the Canadian economy.

The ranking system used to classify express entry applicants is called CRS (Comprehensive Ranking system). It is a points-based system used to assess and score immigrant profiles and rank them in the Express Entry pool. The ranking areas include the applicant’s skills, education, language ability, work experience, and other factors. Based on these categories, applicants will be asked questions, and their answers will determine how they are ranked.

The Express Entry manages applications for three economic immigration programs:

1. Federal Skilled Worker Program

2. Federal Skilled Trades Program

3. Canadian Experience Class

Provinces and territories in the country can also recruit candidates from the Express Entry pool through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to meet local labor market needs.

Benefits and challenges
Express Entry is one of the fastest ways to immigrate to Canada. If an Express Entry applicant acquires a high rank and qualifies for immigration, they will be eligible for immediate entry into Canada.

The downside to applying through this program is that it is difficult to obtain a high enough score to get selected. In the past, the CRS score has been very high. Even for international graduates who have accumulated at least one year of working experience in Canada find it difficult to qualify under the Canadian Experience Class as it is challenging to meet the top scores required.

Fortunately, quite recently, the express entry score has dropped to a historical low for the Canadian Experience Class. Immigrants can take advantage of this opportunity and create their Express Entry profile accordingly.

When applying through the Express Entry system, one must make sure to work with an immigration representative to help with their application. Immigration consultants can help improve an individual’s chances of success by efficiently guiding them with their application. Just remember to check out this website to see if they are indeed authorized immigration law practitioners: https://college-ic.ca/find-a-professional. If their names are listed, and their status is active on this website, they are authorized practitioners and trustworthy. To prevent falling victim to ghost consultants who are not licensed to practice immigration law, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/FTbIEyz7LEM/ for more information on them and their practices.

How to become eligible for Canadian Experience Class?
To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class, one must have at least a year of skilled work experience in Canada in the last three years before they apply. Their work experience can be in one or more NOC 0, A or B jobs. Self-employment and work experience gained while they were a full-time student (even if they were on a co-op work term) don’t count towards the minimum requirements for this program. They must also meet the minimum language level of:

Canadian Language Benchmark seven for NOC 0 or A jobs or Canadian Language Benchmark five for NOC B jobs.

How much does it cost to create an Express Entry profile?
Preparing an Express Entry profile with the professionals at Springwind Immigration Consulting Service Inc. will cost around $1500. Another $1500 will be required to submit the full application when one gets an invitation to apply.
