What is BC PNP – Skills Immigration (SI) – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker category?

The BC PNP- Skilled Immigration – Entry level and Semi-Skilled worker category is targeted for workers in a valid tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking or food processing occupation. For the Northeast Development Region on B.C., any NOC skill level C or D occupation is also eligible for this category. After being nominated, the applicants can apply to the federal government to become Permanent Residence.

JOB OFFER REQUIREMENTS APPLICANT REQUIREMENT EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a full-time and indeterminate job offer (a permanent job, or one with no set end date).
  • from B.C. employer in a specific occupation in tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or the food processing industry. For the Northeast Development Region of B.C., in any NOC C or D occupation
  • Have a wage offer in line with B.C. wage rates for the occupation.
  • have been working full-time for the employer for at least nine consecutive months
  • meet minimum language and education requirements CLB4
  • qualify to do the job
  • show ability to support yourself and dependents
  • have legal status in Canada
  • Be established as an employer in good standing in B.C.
  • Have a history of good workplace and business practices
  • Meet domestic labour market recruitment requirements, where applicable
