What is BC PNP – Express Entry BC (EEBC) – Skilled Worker category?

The Express Entry BC (EEBC) stream of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) connects to the federal Express Entry system. It is a faster way for eligible skilled workers to gain permanent residence in B.C. The EEBC - Skilled worker category is targeted for foreign workers (in or outside of Canada) with a job offer in skilled occupation at Skill Type 0 or Skill Lever A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).

What are the requirements of the EEBC-Skilled Worker category?

JOB OFFER REQUIREMENTS APPLICANT REQUIREMENT EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a full-time and indeterminate job offer (a permanent job, or one with no set end date).
  • In skilled occupation NOC 0, A, or B.
  • Have a wage offer in line with B.C. wage rates for the occupation.
  • Have received an Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Seeker Validation Code from the IRCC Express Entry system. Note: you must meet the minimum criteria for one of the IRCC’s EE programs, including the language requirements
  • Be qualified to perform the duties of the job
  • Have at least two years of directly related work experience
  • Show you can support yourself and your dependents
  • Have, or be eligible for, legal immigration status in Canada
  • For NOC skill level B occupation, meet minimum language requirements CLB 4
  • Be established as an employer in good standing in B.C.
  • Have a history of good workplace and business practices
  • Meet domestic labour market recruitment requirements, where applicable
