What is Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry Stream?

The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream selects highly skilled individuals who wish to live in Nova Scotia. The applicant can either apply directly to the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI) after registering in IRCC’s Express Entry system or the NSOI will choose candidates from the EE pool.

What are the requirements of the program?

  • In the recent 3 year, have at least 1 year of full time or 2 years of part time work experience in Nova Scotia; self-employment does not count; work done while you were a full-time student does not count.
  • the work experience should be in NOC 0,A or B
  • You were authorized to work in Canada when you gained the work experience
  • be 21 to 55 years old;
  • have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent;
  • prove language ability in English or French on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). You need CLB 7 for skilled work in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0 and A. You need CLB 5 for NOC B positions;
  • have a profile registered in EE system;
  • intent to live in Nova Scotia.
