OINP Master Graduate Stream

Education

Master’s degree from an eligible university in Ontario.

At least one academic year of full-time study.

When applying, you are not enrolled as a student, unless: it is for the purpose of meeting the requirements to be licensed in a regulated occupation in Ontario, or you are also working full-time in Ontario.

You are not bonded by a conditional bursary, grant or scholarship that requires you return to your home country after you earn your master’s degree.

Language

At least CLB 7 in English or French

Residency in Ontario

You must have legally lived in Ontario for at least one year in the past two years. One year residency can be cumulative.

Settlement Funds

You must have enough money to support yourself and your dependent family members when you settle in Canada. The funds can be a combination of your funds in bank statements, annual earnings from current employment in Ontario, and/or a job offer in Ontario.

Intention to live in Ontario

You must intent to live and work in Ontario after you are granted permanent residence.

Residency at time of application

At the time you apply, you must be either living in Ontario with legal status or living outside Canada

Application Period

You must submit your application within two years of completing your master’s degree.
