What is SINP-In-SK- Long-Haul Truck Driver Project?

The SINP- Saskatchewan Experience (In-SK) –Long-Haul Truck Drivers Project is for long-haul truck drivers who have a job offer from an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan. After working for the employer for six months, the applicant may apply for provincial nominee under this sub-category. After being nominated, the applicants can apply to the federal government to become Permanent Residence.

What are the requirements of the Long-Haul Truck Driver Project sub-category?

The applicant must:
  • Be working for an SINP-approved Saskatchewan trucking firm for at least 6 months on a temporary work permit. The permit must be based on a positive LMIA.
  • If you are not yet working in Saskatchewan, you can apply if you have proof that you worked in Saskatchewan before for a minimum of 6 mons as a long-haul truck driver.
  • Have a current Saskatchewan Class 1A driver's licence. If you are not yet working in Saskatchewan, you can apply without the Class 1A driver's licence, but you will need to get it once you arrive.
  • Have a full-time, permanent job offer from your employer. Your employer must be an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan.
  • Have at least CLB 4 or higher in all four English abilities.
  • Have a valid SINP Job Approval Letter
