What is the Parents & Grandparents Super Visa?
This visa allows Parents & Grandparents to stay temporarily in Canada for extended periods and can be only sponsored by their Canadian or Permanent Resident children or grandchildren. It is a great program for Parents and Grandparents to visit and attend milestones in their children and grandchildren's lives in Canada. The visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa.
What are the general requirements of the Parents & Grandparents Super Visa?
- Must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Must have a Letter of Invitation signed letter from your child or grandchild who invites you to Canada
- Must have medical insurance of at least $100,000 coverage for 1 year from the date of entry from a Canadian insurance company
- Sponsor must meet the requirement of minimum necessary income (MNI) to support their Parents and/or Grandparents
