General Introduction to AINP
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is focused on the economic and practical needs of the province, with an emphasis on attracting international students, promoting agricultural development, and filling in labor shortage gap in key industries. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages in Alberta.
AINP nominees may apply for permanent residence (PR) status together with their spouse or common-law partner, and dependent children.

AINP Streams for workers
The ANIP has three streams for foreign workers who are living and working in Alberta, or plan to live and work there:

There are eight immigration streams in Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP):

Can I immigrate to Alberta without a job offer?
Yes. A job offer is not required to enter four of Alberta's five immigration streams. However, but if your Comprehensive Raking System (CRS) score is too low or not enough, then having a job offer may increase your chances under the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
