What is Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)?

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is Manitoba’s economic immigration program. MPNP welcomes skilled workers, businesspeople, graduates, and their families to settle and economically establish in Manitoba. The MPNP nominees can apply for permanent residence to the Government of Canada – IRCC.

This program offers three streams, with their respective pathways, through which you can immigrate to the province of Manitoba and become a permanent resident of Canada.

 

What Streams are under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)?

1. Skilled Worker Stream

The MPNP- Skilled Worker stream selects internationally trained and experienced workers whose skills are needed in the local labour market.

There are two sub-streams:

1.1 Skilled Workers in Manitoba 

1.2 Skilled Workers Overseas 

2. International Education Stream (IES)

The MPNP- International Education Stream is for Manitoba graduates who meet the needs of local labour market.

There are three sub-streams:

2.1 Career Employment Pathway

2.2 Graduate Internship Pathway 

2.3 International Student Entrepreneur Pilot 

3. Business Investor Stream (BIS)

The MPNP – Business Investor Stream is for qualified business investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intent and ability to start or purchase businesses in Manitoba.

There are two sub-streams:

3.1 MPNP – Entrepreneur Pathway 

3.2 MPNP – Farm Investor Pathway
 

MPNP Expression of Interest (EOI)

For applicants under the Skilled Worker stream and the International Education Stream, they must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) first. After submitting the EOI, an applicant’s profile will be entered into a candidates’ pool and be valid for one year.

Applicants will receive EOI Ranking Points based on the answers they provide in the EOI. Candidates with highest scores will be invited to submit a full application to the MPNP on a regular basis.
